F4F's main goals:

1. inspire motion picture creation and appreciation
2. spread awareness about the artistry of motion pictures throughout various genres and formats
3. educate members about various techniques of visual storytelling, including but not limited to:
   1. Screenwriting
   2. Cinematography
   3. Film editing
   4. Acting
   5. Sound design
4. increase critical thinking during and after viewing motion pictures
5. introduce members to differing opinions and new details about motion pictures they may have never realized or thought about before
6. educate members about the different aspects that go into filmmaking, including but not limited to:
   1. Pre-Production
   2. Production
   3. Post-Production
7. educate members about the importance of various aspects of filmmaking, using motion pictures as an experience to help members understand why something may be viewed as bad/good.
8. increase understanding of various motion pictures and their audiences, that members may have never watched before. This can apply to movies that allow members to experience different:
   1. Cultures
   2. Real-life experiences
   3. Emotions and/or responses
   4. Worlds
   5. Beliefs
   6. Individual personalities
   7. Individual choices and/or behaviors
9. educate members about what typically makes a motion picture bad or good to the majority of the audience. This allows members to understand why they may or may not like a motion picture, and be able to identify their beliefs about the motion picture outside of peer influence.

F4F has a special interest in motion pictures. We have an educational focus in motion picture creation/appreciation, techniques of visual storytelling, aspects of storytelling, and the significance of motion pictures throughout all cultures.
