Mission and Vision

Our mission is to recruit, retain, advocate, and engage students from underserved and diverse populations to contribute to successful navigation of the college process from admission through graduation and post-collegiate opportunities.

Our vision is to be exemplary in our collective commitment to preparing our EHHS and local community members to meet the ever-changing diversity needs of our society, thus, reducing barriers to learning and education.

Diversity Statement

At Kent State University, diversity is defined as differences that come in a variety of socioeconomic levels, opinions, abilities, experiences, cultures, races, ethnicities, genders, gender identities and expressions, national origins, religions, languages, appearances, personalities, and many other types of human distinctions between individuals and groups.

Diversity is valued as a universal approach to increasing the quality of education. Diversity is the core principle, which, in its broadest sense, incorporates equity and inclusive excellence.
