ADAPTED PHYSICAL EDUCATION ENDORSEMENT

Adapted Physical Education (APE) online graduate endorsement program allows professionally licensed PK-12 physical education teachers to provide APE services (e.g., individual instruction, curriculum development, IEP involvement, APE administration) for students with disabilities in public and private schools.

Autism Spectrum Intervention Specialist-Certificate

The Autism Spectrum Intervention Specialist Certification (ASISC) Program is designed for professionals who are involved in the education, assessment, and/or treatment of individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. It will provide the skills required to develop effective intervention programs, collaborate effectively on intervention teams, support individuals who are being served within a general education context, and address the needs of families.

Behavior Intervention Specialist-Certificate

The Behavior Intervention Specialist Certificate (BISC) Program is a highly specialized sequence consisting of five courses and one practicum that instills the theoretical orientation and practical application of applied behavior analysis.  Completion of the program meets the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst Examination.

Career Based Intervention Program-Endorsement

This Master's-level program provides endorsement to a teaching certificate/license.  Instructors combine a web-based classroom with coordinating on-the-job experience. Courses are available online if enrollment permits.  NOTE: Courses available on-line for Career Based Intervention are subject to enrollment requirement. Community College Leadership-Certificate

The Community College Leadership Certificate is designed to prepare and enhance the skills of administrators, staff, and faculty in community colleges and regional campuses to meet the leadership challenges posed by social, political, and economic changes. It is designed in alignment with the competencies for community college leaders established by the American Association of Community Colleges.

Computer/Technology Endorsement

The Computer/Technology Endorsement program is intended for teachers who plan to teach about computer applications in the classroom or who want to assume technology coordinator positions in a school or at the district level. This Endorsement can only be added to an existing teaching license and cannot be obtained independently as a separate licensure. 

Online and Blended Learning and Teaching Certificate

The certificate program in Online Learning and Teaching provides current and potential online educators with a strong foundation in how to design and teach online courses.

Reading-Endorsement (blended)

The reading endorsement is a 'stamp of approval' to teach reading to students in grades PreK-12 in Ohio. The endorsement is granted by the Ohio Department of Education. It is applied to an existing teaching certificate/license. The courses in this endorsement can also be applied to a Master's degree in Reading.

Superintendent Licensure Cohort

The Superintendent's Licensure Cohort is an 18 credit online program designed to prepare future superintendents for leadership in the 21st Century. The cohort features the latest research and theory, combined with an emphasis on practical experience.

Transition Specialist-Endorsement

This program is a Master's endorsement to teaching license. The Kent State Transition To Work (TTW) endorsement program is for teachers licensed as intervention specialists and vocational educators.
