Communities in Schools

Communities In Schools works within the public school system with evidence-based approach, adapted to meet each community's unique needs. It determines student needs and establishing relationships with local businesses, social service agencies, health care providers, and parent and volunteer organizations to provide needed resources. Through a school-based coordinator, Communities In Schools strategically aligns and delivers needed resources so that students can focus on learning.  One Ohio Communities in Schools affiliate is in Columbus.

Connecting with Cuba

Popularized as an international symbol of peace, Korie Klink incorporates images of the crane as part of a Cuban exchange program. Elementary students from Wisconsin and Cuba share art and ideas, and build relationships between two cultures divided more by ideology than distance.
