Garaway Athlete Misko Signs Letter of Intent

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of a Garaway athlete to their softball program. On April 10, Katianna Misko signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball and run track and field for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles.

Misko will soon be a four-year letter winner for the Pirates track and field team and was a district qualifier in the shot and discus during her junior season. She also earned Second Team Inter Valley Conference honors for softball during her sophomore year. She has also made the honor roll at Garaway during three of her four years of high school.

“It’s very rewarding to have a scholar-athlete of Katya’s magnitude sign a letter of intent with our campus,” said Chuck Peach, softball coach at Kent State Tuscarawas. “She has been a stellar athlete for Garaway and there’s no doubt that she will raise the level of our competitiveness on and off the field.  She is a great young lady and comes from a wonderful family who are not only great athletes, but solid citizens of their community as well. I fully expect Katya to be a team leader for years to come.”

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
