Kent State Trumbull Fair Week Focuses on Passion, Wellness and Purpose

Kent State University at Trumbull hopes to provide valuable resources, opportunities, and wellness information to students and the community during Fair Week, April 25-27. All of the fairs will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Lower Commons and Student Union, located in the campus Classroom/Administration Building.

On Tuesday, April 25, a community Volunteer and Resource Fair will feature more than 20 local agencies and organizations who offer volunteer opportunities and programs and services to assist individuals and families in need. Participating non-profit organizations include: United Way of Trumbull County, March of Dimes, American Red Cross, Someplace Safe, Rock4Reason, The Camelot Center, and many more.

A community Health Fair will be held on Wednesday, April 26. Representatives from local health organizations will offer wellness information, health screenings and much more. That same day, American Red Cross will hold a blood drive, 9:30a.m.-3:30p.m.

Concluding the week, a Career Fair will be held on Thursday, April 27. Representatives from more than 40 regional businesses will be on hand with information about various careers. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes, and interview attire is recommended. Participants can also take part in mock interviews and have resumes critiqued by local human resources experts. Participating companies include: Vallourec, City Machine Technologies, Star Fab, Mercy Health, AVI Foodsystems, Windsor House, Federal Bureau of Prisons, iHeart Media, and many more.

All of the fairs are free and open to the public and are mobility and hearing accessible. Parking is convenient and free. Kent State Trumbull's 438-acre campus is located at 4314 Mahoning Ave. N.W. in Warren. For additional information about any of the fairs, contact Bill Burgess, marketing coordinator, at 330-412-7490 or wjburges@kent.edu
