Waterloo High School Graduate Signs With Softball Team

Kent State University at Tuscarawas is announcing the signing of an Atwater High School graduating senior to their softball team. On June 21, Katelyn Mann signed a Letter of Intent to play for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Softball Team.

Mann was a four-year letter winner and played centerfield for the Vikings softball team. She won the Coaches Award two straight seasons, earned Second Team Northeast District honors twice and was also a two-time Portage Trail Conference (PTC) First and Second Team All-Star. In 2016 Mann was named Honorable Mention in the PTC after being named to the PTC Second Team in 2014 and 2015. She also earned Second Team All-County honors her sophomore year.

“We are very happy to have Katelyn as a member of our team,” said Chuck Peach, Head Softball Coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. “She’s a very determined player and is not afraid to get her uniform dirty. She brings lots of speed and athleticism to the field and has the desire to take her game to the next level.  There’s no doubt that she will have an immediate impact defensively and on the base paths.”

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
