Excuse Note Policy

Kent State students should be mindful of the excuse note policy when scheduling appointments.

• DeWeese Health Center does not provide written absence excuses for students who miss a class, presentation, quiz, exam or other academic responsibility. 
• We strongly encourage students who are ill to contact their professors PRIOR to an absence to make arrangements for any classes or deadlines which may be missed. 
• For students who seek services at DeWeese Health Center, we will provide a walk-out statement that will show the date and time of your appointment.
