Kent State Named Only Northeast Ohio Institution on Top Public Schools List in 2020 U.S. News Rankings

Kent State University has made impressive moves in the rankings in the newly released 2020 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges list. Kent State has climbed three spots, a 3% increase, on the Top Public Schools list. Kent State is the only Northeast Ohio institution on the Top Public Schools list. 

In addition, Kent State is again included in the Best National Universities list in the coveted top tier, improving its overall score by 9% compared to last year. Kent State continues to be the only public university in Northeast Ohio to be ranked in the top tier, and it is one of only six Ohio public universities on this prestigious list.

Kent State is also included in the Undergraduate Business Programs list. The university moved up five spots on the list, which represents a 3% improvement over last year.

Each year, students and their parents rely on the annual U.S. News Best Colleges rankings to help narrow their college choices and to validate the commitment they are making to the university that best fits their needs. The rankings are now in its 35th year.
