Interested students can apply by submitting the Honors Program application form; a high school transcript (if not already submitted to the University); a 200-250 word typed essay describing an experience, academic or otherwise, which was particularly meaningful; and a resume of activities that demonstrates any leadership and/or academic achievements. Scholarships
The Honors Program is pleased to offer 15 renewable scholarships of $1500 each every academic year. These scholarships are competitive and are awarded to the top applicants each year. New freshmen, transfer and current KSU students are all eligible and should apply for admission to the Honors Program by February 1 in order to be considered for scholarships. The Honors Scholarship is renewable for up to four years for new freshmen with eligibility being prorated based on the number of hours earned prior to Honors Program admission. Recipients must enroll in at least 12 Tuscarawas hours each semester and meet certain academic and participation standards in order to have their scholarships renewed. Scholarship recipients will receive a Handbook describing expectations and responsibilities.
