Associate professor of peace and conflict studies Molly Merryman, Ph.D. will present “The Legacy of Peace Marshals at Kent State” at the May 4 Visitors Center on Wednesday, March 19 at 1 p.m. The discussion is presented in conjunction with the opening of the center's exhibit, “Teach Peace: The Life and Legacy of Jerry Lewis.”
Merryman will explore the history of peace marshals at Kent State and Jerry Lewis’ creation of the program to promote peace during student marches and protests on the Kent Campus, discussing the lasting legacy of Lewis and his peers.
