Kent State Alumni Association Appoints National Board of Directors, Officers and New Members
The Kent State University Alumni Association Inc. announces the following new members for its National Alumni Board of Directors:

Barbara Smith, of Solon, Ohio, has been appointed president of Kent State University’s Alumni Association National Board of Directors. Smith is executive vice president, chief banking and strategy officer of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod. She earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education in 1984 from Kent State.

Meg May, of Newbury, Ohio, will serve as past president following her two-year term as president. May is manager of agent evaluation and education with Progressive Commercial Lines in Mayfield, Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 1996 and a Master of Arts in economics in 2006 from Kent State.

Andrea Gauding, of Independence, Ohio, has been appointed president-elect. Andrea is vice president and chief financial officer of the Insurance Board in Cleveland. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting in 1987 from Kent State.

Lisa Aurilio, of Hudson, Ohio, continues her role as secretary. Aurilio is chief operating officer of Akron Children’s Hospital. She earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 1987, a Master of Science in nursing in 1999 and a Master of Business Administration in 2011 from Kent State.

Geoff Kroeger, of Hudson, Ohio, continues his role as treasurer. Geoff is vice president of Stride Tool, LLC in Glenwillow, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in accounting in 2005 from Kent State.

Richard Frenchie, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, has been appointed the Foundation representative and currently serves as an At-Large member of the Kent State University Foundation Board. Richard is president of The Frenchie Group.

Ann Mariko Walter, of Asbury Park, New Jersey, has been appointed the faculty representative. Ann is the director of New York City Fashion, a study away destination for Kent State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in fashion design in 1996 and her Master of Education in instructional technology in 2019 from Kent State.

Annalisa Stubbs Williams, of Akron, Ohio, is an Akron Municipal Court judge who has presided over the court’s mental health docket since 2005. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1977 from Kent State.
