Portfolio Day

Join us for our annual portfolio day event!  High school students interested in majoring in Studio Art, Art Education and Art History are invited to a special Portfolio Day in the School of Art! Participating students take part in a portfolio review of their artwork with esteemed School of Art faculty. 

Who: Open to any high school student interested in receiving feedback on their art from esteemed Kent State University Studio Art faculty. * Scholarships available!

When: Friday, March 19, 2021 - 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

After you register you will be given instructions for submitting your portfolio and the link to the Zoom meeting.

*Please note a portfolio review is not required for admission to the School of Art.

*Two scholarships are available: 

1. Elmer, Virginia & Karen Novotny Scholarship, $2,500 award (disbursed over two semesters) for an incoming first-year major of any discipline in the School of Art.

2. The Akron Society of Artists Robert L. Spannbauer Memorial Award, $1,000 to one graduating high school senior, from the Northeast Central Ohio Scholastic Art Awards region, who will attend the Kent State University School of Art.
