Join Dr. Giuseppe Mazzotta, a Sterling Professor of the humanities for Italian at Yale University, and Dr. Fabrizio Ricciardelli, the director of the Kent State University Florence Center, for an enriching and enlightening week-long lecture series.

Monday, March 18 

Making Connections Workshop & Italian Trivia 
12-2 PM | 115 Bowman Hall
Learn about the culture of friendship in Italy and how to stay connected via social media. Next, test your knowledge on Italian culture, history, and language through trivia and win prizes!

Parent Informational Night: Florence
6-8 PM | 217 Bowman Hall
Learn more about the KSU Florence experience and ask questions from representatives from the Office of Global Education, Student Financial Aid, and Florence student alumni.

 

Tuesday, March 19 

San Giuseppe Day: Lunch Buffet
11 AM-2 PM | Schwebel Room, 3rd Floor, Kent Student Center
Invite your family and friends to join us for an Italian feast featuring special Italian dishes in celebration of Saint Joseph. This holiday is also known as the Italian Father’s Day. A Feast for the Senses: Boccaccio's Decameron with a Humorous Twist & Potluck!

Enjoy a potluck style lunch while listening to the retelling of Boccaccio's scandalous Italian stories by author and Kent State University student, J.R. Shaw. Additional food welcome but not required.
