Partnerships and grant programs have always been an integral part of the Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education (CIIE). We constantly seek the opportunity to be involved in meaningful educational projects worldwide.

Fulbright Pre-Academic Program
Funded by US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by IIE
The Fulbright Pre-Academic program brings international graduate students and scholars from all over the world to Kent State. The program orients Fulbright graduate students to US higher education and provides academic skills and communication seminars. Students also focus on leadership development in their Fulbright seminar. At the completion of the program, the Fulbright students go on to Masters and doctoral programs all over the United States.

Fulbright TEA – Teacher in Excellence and Achievement
The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (Fulbright TEA) brings international teachers from Eastern Europe to Kent State University for a six-week program that offers academic seminars for professional development focusing on media literacy. Participants observe classrooms and share their expertise with teachers and students at KSU and local secondary schools.
