Biography
Kristin Bruns earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Kent State University and is licensed as a LPCC. Dr. Bruns has served in leadership positions at state, regional, and national levels in the counseling profession. She most recently served as the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision Membership Committee Chair. Dr. Bruns has received awards for her teaching, service at the university level, mentoring of graduate students, and as a practitioner. Her research centers on enhancing the training and development of counselor trainees in preparation to work with suicidal clients, defining best practices for termination in counseling, and college student mental health.
