Antoinette East-Jenkins
Biography
I started my career in education as a history and language arts teacher for the Akron Area YMCA Phoenix Alternative School. I spent fifteen years working in TRiO as an administrator at The University of Akron in the Academic Achievement Programs. I began as an Academic Adviser, then was promoted to Coordinator of Academic services and finally Assistant Director. My experience has been working with and advising students from diverse academic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. Over the past 20 years it has been my mission to ensure their successful admittance and completion of a post-secondary program.
I am a Community Advocate who is passionate about D.E.I. and social justice. My motto is I just want to leave this world a little better than I found it.
