We live in an age and culture where living to eat has become the norm. Obesity rates are continuously increasing and is one of the top causes of death in America. Cardiovascular disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes are strongly related to diet and lifestyles.
Held March 2 from noon-1 p.m. in the Kent Student Center, Room 313, this seminar will provide an overview of the dietary recommendations necessary to reduce chronic disease. We will discuss specific food groups, and foods and their health benefits that will enable us to prevent disease and live a long, healthy life.
The presenter is Anika Avery-Grant of Impact Solutions. Registration is required. A light lunch will be provided to all participants.
