FAFSA Application Date Change

Kent State University’s Student Financial Aid Office would like to inform employees who are parents of college students of an important change related to the 2017-2018 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

Students can file the new Early FAFSA beginning Oct. 1, 2016, using 2015, already completed tax and income information. Most applicants will be able to transfer tax information directly into the FAFSA form using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. Students who plan to attend Kent State are encouraged to apply by Nov. 15, 2016, to meet the early processing date of Dec. 1.

If you would like more details about the upcoming changes, you may read the fact sheet titled College Students and Parents: What You Need to Know About the 2017–18 FAFSA®.
