The Executive MBA program at Kent State University’s College of Business Administration has once again been ranked in the top tier of CEO Magazine’s Global Ranking.
CEO Magazine has been showcasing top business schools from around the globe since it first launched in 2008. In 2012, the publication launched its annual Global MBA Rankings, profiling MBA, EMBA and Online MBA programs. This year, CEO Magazine reached out to more than 300 business schools across North America, Europe and Australia and received responses from 140 institutions – an increase of more than 100 percent compared to the previous year.
“We are pleased to once again receive a Tier One Executive MBA program ranking,” says Laurie Walker, program director of Executive MBA programs at Kent State. “It is extremely gratifying to be consistently ranked as an outstanding institution that prepares seasoned professionals to advance in their careers and achieve their goals.”
In addition to Kent State’s College of Business Administration, the only other Ohio schools ranked in the same tier by CEO Magazine are Case Western Reserve University and the University of Cincinnati.
Kent State’s Executive MBA program, which is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), is structured to accommodate seasoned business professionals who can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the classroom. It offers small class sizes and an international business trip experience that provides an invaluable global business perspective.
Consisting mainly of required courses in the various business disciplines, Kent State’s Executive MBA program is comprehensive, yet accelerated. The program can be completed in as few as 19 months (32 credit hours) while one maintains full-time working hours. The program maintains a convenient structure, built around once-a-month, on-site classes that occur Saturday all day and Sunday afternoon. These classes are supplemented with online content for added learning and convenience. Limited class sizes allow an interactive and participative classroom environment.
The Executive MBA program provides every student with an international business trip, offering a valuable global perspective. The trip is a one-hour credit course in which each Executive MBA cohort has the opportunity to travel abroad under the leadership of faculty. The business experience trip typically takes place in May of the first year of the program and lasts about 10 days. It is a unique learning experience that exposes students firsthand to the country’s culture and the business practices of companies that operate internationally.
CEO Magazine is published by the International Graduate Forum (IGF) in London. The CEO Magazine Global MBA Rankings are designed with applicants in mind, examining the learning environment, class sizes, tuition fees, faculty, delivery methods, international diversity, gender makeup and more. The objective of the magazine’s ranking is to identify schools which marry exceptional quality with great return on investment.
