Yosh Hakutani, Ph.D., Department of English, organized and chaired a session, “Lynching and Modern American Fiction,” and presented “The Genesis of the Chicago Renaissance: The Wright-Dreiser Tradition” at the American Literature Association conference in Boston, May 25-28, 2017. For the annual conference of the Yone Noguchi Society, he gave the keynote address “Yone Noguchi, Ezra Pound, and Imagism” at International Christian University in Tokyo on July 1, 2017.
