Kent State offers over 200 programs in over 60 countries!

These international academic experiences range from as short as one week to as long as a full academic year abroad, are suitable for a wide variety of majors, and can often fulfill either major or general elective requirements.

Kent State Florence, Italy

Our longest-established international program, Kent State Florence offers a unique Italian Experience with strong on-site support and a variety of study tours and field trips throughout Italy. Course offerings cover many academic areas.

Kent State Direct Enroll Programs

You can enroll directly in one of Kent State’s partner institutions for a semester and earn academic credit toward your Kent State degree! Locations include Switzerland, the Czech Republic, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, and more!

International Exchanges

Kent State has many partner universities around the world where you can study for a summer, full semester, or academic year. There are great financial incentives to specific programs, and a variety of destinations including, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Japan, and Brazil.

Short-term, affordable, and guided by Kent State faculty, these programs take place throughout the year in many formats and are great for students who want to study abroad for a shorter time.

Internship/Volunteer Abroad

Experiential learning abroad is a means to expand your worldview while giving back to a community and earning valuable job skills. Internships and volunteer opportunities can last for a week to a semester, and can take you all over the world.  Experiences range from completing student teaching hours abroad to interning for an NGO in Switzerland.

NON-KSU SPONSORED PROGRAMS (third party programs)

Some students elect to apply to a program that is not sponsored by Kent State University. Although we offer over 200 program options, you may desire to apply for a program outside of our current offerings. It is important to note that certain financial aid may not be applicable toward your program and it is in your best interests to meet with the Student Financial Aid Office prior to applying for an external program.  Please read our self-advising guide for things to consider when applying for a Non-Kent State sponsored program.
