Student Spotlight: Jasmine Price

The Division of Graduate Studies at Kent State University is home to a diverse group of stand-out graduate students. This week for our student spotlight, we’re featuring Jasmine Price, M.Ed.

Jasmine Price is a Kent State University graduate student in the School of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum who just received her M.Ed. in Early Childhood Leadership Advocacy and Policy in December 2019. She is currently a doctoral student working on her Ed.D. in Interprofessional Leadership with a focus in curriculum and instruction. Jasmine recently became the director of a childcare center in the midst of COVID-19!

Additionally, she has presented at the Reconceptualizing Early Childhood Education Conference in New Mexico about her experiences being one of only a few women of color in her field. Jasmine has several pending publications and has created anti-bias workshops and webinars for practitioners.

In her free time, Jasmine enjoys reading, practicing yoga and watching musicals. Hamilton is currently her favorite!
