Harnessing Macrophage Polarization for Platinum-Based Therapy in Ovarian Cancer

Title: Harnessing Macrophage Polarization for Platinum-Based Therapy in Ovarian Cancer

PI: Dr. Yaorong Zheng (College of Art and Science: Chemistry and Biochemistry)

Co-PIs: Dr. Min-Ho Kim (College of Arts and Sciences: Biological Science) and Dr. Manabu Kurokawa (College of Arts and Sciences: Biological Science)

Dr. Yaorong Zheng, Assistant Professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry programs, focuses his research on developing new approaches to improve cancer therapy. Specifically, Zheng and his team are exploring a new therapeutic approach that harnesses macrophage polarization and new platinum therapeutics to combat drug resistance in ovarian cancer. Ultimately, they hope their work leads to improved cancer therapy
