The web presence group in the Division of Information Technology, web team from the Division of University Communications and Marketing and university partner One Origin have been working for the past year to upgrade the university's content management system.   • A lecture series has been created to honor the legacy of Jerry M. Lewis Emeritus Professor of Sociology and advance the scholarship of May 4, 1970 and the Vietnam War era. Tammy Clewell, professor in Kent State's Department of English, gave the inaugural lecture of the Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series with her presentation “Remembering the Contested May 4 Memorializing Process.”

  • Thanks to a $75,000 grant from OSHA’s Susan Harwood Training Grants Program, Kent State University at Geauga is designing a pilot training program for workers from small businesses in underserved rural communities to help ensure safe and healthy workplaces. As part of the campus’ ongoing commitment to leadership in regional workforce development, the program will be implemented in Geauga County starting in the second quarter of 2023. 

  • Online final grading for Fall Full Term (POT 1), Third 5 Weeks (F3), Second 7 Weeks (W2) begins Friday, Dec. 9, via FlashFAST. Grading is also now available for any Fall 2022 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Any final grades for Fall 2022 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow.
