In my job, I write everything from feature stories for the Kent State website, to speeches and emails for the president. For two years, I wrote all the university's pandemic communications.

EMPLOYMENT PRIOR TO KENT STATE UNIVERSITY:

I spent 32 years working as a reporter at various newspapers in Ohio. Prior to joining Kent State, I was food editor for the Columbus Dispatch.

LIKES MOST ABOUT KENT STATE:

I love the energy the students bring to campus and I continue to be impressed by the dedication and hard work of our staff and faculty.

FAVORITE MEMORY WHILE AT KENT STATE:

Every May 4 anniversary creates a new memory, and every year I meet someone new connected to May 4 or learn something new about that watershed date in Kent State's history.

ATTRACTION TO KENT STATE AS AN EMPLOYER:

I was attracted to Kent State's dynamic university setting and I was looking for a way to continue to use my news writing and reporting skills outside of the newspaper industry.

HOBBIES:

I like to cook and bake, and I can never pass up an antique store sign without going treasure hunting.
