Assessment

Request a consultation with a CAPS clinician to determine if psychological testing is clinically appropriate for you. Testing is available for ADHD, learning disorders, cognitive functioning, personality or substance use concerns.

Consultation is a covered service, while testing is billed to insurance or paid by the student.

Individual Counseling

See a licensed counselor or psychologist on a short-term basis to address your mental health concerns.

This is a covered service (up to six sessions) for Kent Campus students recommended to individual counseling. Additional sessions can be billed to insurance or paid by the student.

Address your mental health concerns while learning about yourself and your relationships in a safe, supportive group led by CAPS clinicians.

Workshops and Skills Series with CAPS

Attend any number of workshops (one session per topic) and skill series (multiple sessions) led by CAPS staff to develop your skills on topics related to mental health and well-being.

Collegiate Recovery Community

Engage with a community of peer support available to students in recovery from substance use disorder or impacted by a friend or family member's substance use. Participate in a weekly group, sober activities and other wellness programs.

Community Partnerships

Connect with off-campus providers for specialized services that will best support your mental health needs. Specialized services may include intensive or long-term treatment. You can also access MiResource, a database of community providers.

Specialized services through Community Partnerships may be billed to insurance or paid by the student.

Speak with a clinician when experiencing an urgent need. Contact CAPS clinicians during business hours by calling 330-672-2487. After hours, call CAPS at 330-672-2487 and select option 3 to speak to a clinician with IMPACT Student Assistance.
