The curriculum is 72 credit hours beyond the master’s degree, comprising the following:
- 12 credit hours of research coursework to introduce students to different research methods, with a focus on applied research approaches
- 18 credit hours of major coursework to provide students with an understanding of interprofessional practice and essential understandings for functioning effectively in leadership positions
- 12 credit hours of concentration coursework. Initial cognates at the time of development include Athletic Training Education, Cultural Foundations of Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Technology, and Special Education.
- 30 credit hours of dissertation in practice during which students will conduct applied research to make a positive impact in their organizations
