Siobhan Hicks

Siobhán Hicks, Program Coordinator for the McNair Scholars Program, advises scholars on their academic progress, research, graduate education planning, career planning, and overall goal setting to ensure completion of degree requirements, graduate school admissions, and research progression. Siobhán also organizes the seminars and workshops for scholars on various topics such as financial literacy, research development, mental health, and the professoriate career. In addition, she also coordinates the annual 8-week, residential Summer Research Institute and McNair Symposium for McNair Scholars. As a three-time TRIO alumnae (Upward Bound Classic, Student Support Services, and the McNair Scholars Program), Siobhán knows the value and importance of TRIO programs for the success, retention, and persistence of marginalized groups in higher education.
