Exciting Opportunity to Study in Lisbon, Portugal

CCI Partners with Catholic University of Portugal

Starting in Spring 2019, CCI will offer undergraduate students the opportunity to spend a semester in Lisbon, Portugal, studying at the Catholic University of Portugal (Universidade Catolica Portuguesa, or UCP) in the Faculty (School) of Human Sciences.

CCI students can take courses in English taught by UCP faculty members with deep expertise in social, cultural and organizational communication, photography, digital media production, marketing, public relations, advertising and journalism. This program provides the benefits of studying in an international academic environment with students of multiple cultures, while only paying Kent State tuition.

Students will be immersed in a safe, welcoming city with charming neighborhoods; thriving shopping districts; panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean from the area's beautiful beaches and historic coastal villages; wonderful nightlife; and restaurants, cafes and bakeries that offer some of Europe’s best seafood and pastries. Lisbon is a stunning mosaic of European, Spanish and Moorish architecture and culture. Its location allows students opportunities for accessible travel to destinations like Spain, France and Morocco.

Housing consists of off-campus flats in neighborhoods surrounding campus. CCI Explore and UCP’s International Affairs Office will work with students to identify housing options.
