Engage with Career Planning Essentials Workshops

As part of the Division of Graduate Studies’ dedication to your career readiness, graduate students have the opportunity to earn two certifications that display a basic understanding of two different areas in Fall 2020:

We just added our Career Planning Essentials video library, which includes presentation videos on

  1. How to Create a Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. The Ins and Outs of Writing a Professional Resume
  3. Interviewing Do's and Don'ts
  4. Maximizing LinkedIn for your Career and Job Search

Our Research Fundamentals video library covers seven topics related to graduate student research.

Upon having watched at least three of the videos in either the Career Planning Essentials or Research Fundamentals, you may complete an assessment that demonstrates your understanding of that content. Upon earning at least 80% on the assessment, you will be sent a certificate of completion proving your understanding of the content that you may share on your résumé and/or CV.

More  information about the Career Planning Essentials and the Research Fundamentals workshops, as well as the assessment can be found on our website.
