KnitLAB

Develop your knit skills at the KnitLAB

The KnitLAB aims to support development of knitting through education, research, and product development in an accessible and welcoming space. Whether you are a student, faculty, staff or just curious about knitting, we hope you find the time to stop by for a visit and learn more about knit possibilities.

Knitted products are an ever-growing area of fashion because they provide comfort and flexibility, and are integral to smart textile applications. The KnitLAB creates a variety of knit opportunities for our students but also the greater community and industry. We hold courses for credit degree seeking students, as well as micro-credential workshops. We also share quick tutorials for anyone wanting to try out knitting and learn more. Regardless which avenue fits you best, we provide hands-on experiences. As you explore different techniques and designs, our dedicated faculty and industry partners will guide you through the entire process, from the initial concept and design phase, to the development of your final product.
