GSO Teaching Fellow: Maneesh Shukla

Meet Maneesh Shukla, a graduate student orientation (GSO) teaching fellow who is pursuing his Ph.D. in Finance in the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. Where is your hometown? 

I am from Kathmandu, Nepal.

Why did you decide to come to Kent State? 

I decided to come to Kent State because it offered two programs that I was interested in pursuing – the M.B.A. and Ph.D. in Finance.

What is your favorite place in Kent? 

Starbucks and Kent Lanes Bowling are my favorite places in Kent.

What advice do you have for new graduate students? 

Apart from your studies, find time for yourself and relax. Engage in extracurricular activities, explore different resources available to graduate students, and never hesitate to ask for help.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy biking, bowling and golfing in my free time.
