Dr. Ching-I Chen
Biography
Ching-I Chen, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the area of early childhood intervention at Kent State University. She received her doctorate in early intervention/special education from the University of Oregon (UO). Prior to joining Kent State University in 2014, she was a university postdoctoral fellow/project coordinator at the Early Childhood Personnel Center of University of Connecticut Health Center, and has served a practitioner for young children with special needs and their families. Ching’s research interests focus on: (1) the development and application of culturally and linguistically relevant early childhood assessments; and (2) personnel development in early childhood intervention. She has involved in several research projects regarding developmental screening tools and curriculum-based assessments, as well as personnel development at the pre-service and in-service levels
