BRIAN ADAMS

Brian Adams, MBA, MOT, OTR/L, serves as chief operating officer of UH Portage Medical Center.

Adams began his career as an occupational therapist, working with patients recovering from complex neurological conditions, including strokes, spinal cord injuries and respiratory challenges requiring ventilator support. His early experience spanned both inpatient and outpatient care, providing hands-on rehabilitation for individuals navigating life-altering diagnoses.

Those formative years shaped Adams’ approach to leadership. He later advanced into a dual role, continuing to care for patients while managing rehabilitation services at UH Bedford and UH Richmond medical centers. Though his career path eventually led into business development and operations, as Adams previously served as Director of Operations and Clinical Services at UH Portage Medical Center.
