Julie L. Rayl

Julie Rayl currently serves as assistant to an executive officer and volunteer boards within the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement. In this role, Julie provides executive level support to the vice president of the division, manages and maintains the vice president’s calendar, schedules and coordinates meetings, arranges travel accommodations, analyzes information, conducts research and prepares reports. In addition, Julie serves as liaison between supervisors and internal and external constituents and provides administrative support to the Foundation Board, Alumni Association Board and Campaign Executive Committee.

Julie joined Kent State University in January 2010 as a senior secretary for the Center for Student Involvement. She has also worked in Academic Affairs Operations and Administration, University College, and prior to joining the Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement was a special assistant for Human Resources.

In 1996, Julie obtained an Associate of Applied Business – Office Administration – Executive degree from The University of Akron.

In addition to her professional responsibilities at Kent State, Julie has been a member of the Tallmadge City Schools’ Parent-Teacher Association since 2006, served as a Tallmadge United Soccer Club Board member from 2008 to 2013 and served as a member of the Akron City Hospital Junior Board from 1996 to 1998.
