Ikhsan Darmawan is a Ph.D. student and a graduate assistant in the Political Science Department at Kent State University. Prior to becoming a Ph.D. student in 2018, he was a lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Universitas Indonesia, Indonesia. He has taught several courses: Introduction to Political Science; the Indonesian Political System; Rural Government and Politics; the Political Representation System; and Elections, Voting Behavior and Representative Institutions. In addition, he has published several books (in Indonesian language): Mengenal Ilmu Politik (Introduction to Political Science) (2015); Analisis Sistem Politik Indonesia (Analysis of Indonesian Political System) (2013); and Memahami E-voting (Understanding E-voting) (with Nurul Nurhandjati and Evida Kartini) (2014). He has also published several journal articles on election studies (in Indonesian language).
