Welcome to the Office of Faculty and Graduate Student Retention, Inclusion and Success within the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DDEI), where we strive to recruit and retain both faculty and graduate students at Kent State University.

Our office provides a range of resources and actively collaborates with Academic Affairs, Human Resources and other units on campus in its efforts. A branch of our office further collaborates with departments across the university to assist students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition, our office is responsible for collecting and analyzing diversity-related data.

Purpose of the Department

To cultivate a safe, diverse community and harness its power for change.

Mission Statement

The Mission of DDEI is to lead the Kent State community’s efforts to increase diverse representation, create and sustain equality of opportunity and intentionally foster an inclusive, equitable environment. The Office of Faculty and Graduate Student Retention, Inclusion and Success follows this mission by having developed strategies which focus on recruiting, supporting and retaining faculty and graduate students from historically underrepresented groups.
