The Kent State University Surplus Store offers all of these items – and a lot more – at very low prices. Most chairs, for example, are priced at just $4 or $5 each. The store is located at 414 E. Main St./State Route 59 (formerly Cutler Insurance and the Kent City Health Department).

Formerly a pop-up event on campus, the surplus sale is now housed in this building and is open on specific dates.
The Kent State Surplus Store is a function of Campus Surplus through University Facilities Management and specializes in the liquidation of university assets in the most economical and sustainable way. Kent State approaches sustainability through the lens of interconnectedness and interdependence of the social, environmental and economic components.

There are three full floors of items to browse. All floors are not ADA accessible. New items are added after every sale date. Parking spaces, and the building entrance, are located behind the building. Cash and checks are not accepted. Payment can be made by debit, credit or Apple Pay.
