Kent State is getting a lot of love these days! Leading up to its first-round game in the NCAA Men’s Division I Tournament, the men’s basketball team has received major shoutouts on social media.
Cathi and Rob Eberly, ’70, are just a couple of the many long-time Kent State supporters who have made their way to Albany, New York, for the NCAA Tournament. Their passion for the Golden Flashes goes well beyond wins and losses.
There were smiles, laughter and a whole lot of dunks.

Kent State’s 6’9” center with a deep, booming voice is an imposing force having earned a spot in the starting rotation during his freshman year, but spend a few moments with the team’s top big man — the oldest of seven children — and you’ll find him friendly and approachable.
