When: Monday, February 9th 2026, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EST

Location: Crawford Hall, Brinzo Entrepreneurial Lab 116, Kent, Ohio, United States

Books to Business: How to Successfully Transition from College to Career is a dynamic, 1-hour workshop lead by professionals from Enterprise Mobility and will help business students confidently navigate the shift from the classroom to the professional workplace. The session begins by unpacking what the college-to-career transition really looks like—highlighting common challenges, changing expectations, and the mindset needed to succeed in a professional environment. You will explore how your academic experiences translate into workplace value and how to approach this transition with intention and confidence. You will learn practical strategies for bridging the gap between student life and professional life, including developing a growth mindset, building professional habits, leveraging transferable skills, and seeking guidance through mentorship. The workshop also addresses how to navigate workplace culture by building strong relationships, adapting to change, understanding office norms, and using feedback as a tool for growth. Enterprise will share real-world examples to help you recognize and avoid common pitfalls such as unrealistic expectations, hesitating to ask questions, or overlooking the importance of organizational culture. You will learn how to build and sustain a strong professional support system by expanding your network and use both peer and professional resources. By the end of the workshop, your will leave with actionable insights and strategies they can immediately apply as they launch their careers. Location:  Crawford Hall Brinzo Entrepreneurial Lab 116 Questions?
