Kent, OHIO – The Kent State University Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Online Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) ranks No. 12 in the nation in Fortune’s Best Online Master’s in Business Analytics Programs in 2022.
For this ranking, Fortune set out to identify the best online degree programs for the next generation of business analysts. The result was Fortune’s first-ever ranking of the nation’s best online business analytics programs. According to Fortune, these business analytics master’s programs not only have world class professors and a top-notch curriculum, but they also attract some of the brightest students.
“We worked with industry leaders to develop the Master of Science in Business Analytics program to prepare our students for in-demand careers in the fast-growing field of business analytics,” said Deborah F. Spake, Ph.D., dean of Kent State’s Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship. “We are proud to be recognized for the high quality of the program as we do our part to meet this industry need.”
In a news release announcing the rankings, Fortune Education Editorial Director Lance Lambert said the publication released its newest rankings of the best online graduate programs for data science and for business analytics due to the ongoing need within industry.
“The exponential growth in data has translated into demand for data scientists and business analysts that greatly outpaces how fast universities can train them. In the coming years, these degree programs will continue to explode,” Lambert said. “And for good reason: According to the BLS, the average wage for data scientists is $103,930 – a figure that rises to $148,680 in the Bay Area.”
Kent State’s MSBA Program is available in person, as well as 100% online. The online business analytics degree offers the same high standard of excellence that is delivered on campus, but with the flexibility of online courses. The online MSBA was designed with the busy working professional in mind by the same industry-leading faculty who teach on campus.
“Business analytics is inherently a multidisciplinary field, requiring professionals to possess excellency in a wide array of skillsets not typically offered in traditionally designed academic programs which are predominantly single-discipline focused,” said Rouzbeh Razavi, Ph.D., director of the Master of Science in Business Analytics program at Kent State. “The Kent State MSBA program was created with the goal to provide students with hands-on training required to make them successful in this fast-evolving field. We are proud to see that our efforts in preparing our students have been recognized in this latest ranking.”
