KENT, Ohio – Beginning in Fall 2019, the Kent State College of Business Administration will offer the Master of Science in Business Analytics degree online in addition to on-campus.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of mathematical science occupations is expected to grow 27.9 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations.
“An MSBA degree greatly increases students’ appeal to employers,” said Rouzbeh Razavi, Ph.D., program director. “Analytics professionals are highly sought after – the market for such a position is incredibly competitive. Earning an MSBA at Kent State will provide students with expertise that is applicable in any industry, rendering them viable to employers in all types of organizations.”
The Kent State MSBA program provides opportunities to work with advanced technology that captures, prepares and analyzes data. The program offers a holistic approach to business analytics, balancing technologies, methods and expertise to provide students with strategic business decision-making skills.
With Kent State’s STEM designation, international F-1 students qualify for an extended Optional Practical Training (OPT), which helps them acquire additional career experience while at Kent State.
Through the curriculum, students will gain a repertoire of skills, including technical, analytical, communication, decision-making and leadership, which will help them become successful business analysts.
