Kent State’s College of Business Administration’s National Advisory Board has added Kent State University alumni, Joe Artiste, to its member list.
Joe Artiste is a 25-year B2B expert in developing market strategies, driving demand, and building successful, profitable organizations. His work with CEOs and CMOs across the U.S. is focused on helping decision makers understand how to optimize strategy and align their organizations to better accelerate revenue and improve sustainability.

As President of Smart Business, Artiste leads the national publishing, content marketing and event management firm’s sales strategies and operations. He is also tasked with developing new innovative multi-media programs and events, as well as generating revenue via national and regional integrated marketing programs.
Prior to Smart Business, Artiste worked in the direct marketing, corporate branding and event management industry as executive vice president, corporate strategy and business development at Consolidated Solutions, and served as director, national accounts, for WorkPlace Media as well as president and co-founder of Premier Expositions.
Artiste earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Kent State University in 1988.
The College of Business Administration’s National Advisory Board is comprised of prominent Kent State alumni and corporate friends throughout the United States. The board brings an external point of view that enables the College of Business Administration to connect with valuable constituencies for information, support and expertise.
