After spending her younger years in a variety of volunteer roles with non-governmental organizations in her native Macedonia, Ivana Krsteska chose Kent State to study sustainable architecture and also serves as a Kent Student Ambassador.

Senior Receives Fulbright Scholarship

In an impressive close to her undergraduate career, Kent State University Honors College senior Mallory Woods, ’22,  was recently awarded the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Award (ETA).
 

George Jenkins, ’63 a

George Jenkins, ’63, and his wife Gina, recently established a planned gift to create the Gina and George Jenkins Student-Athlete Scholarship Fund. The scholarship will give preference to students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those from the Appalachian region.

The Podiatry Foundation has made an historic $10 million donation to Kent State to secure the financial and academic future of Ohio’s only podiatry college – Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.

Hayley Shasteen, ’21,  received a prestigious Goldwater Scholarship from the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation. The foundation awards scholarships annually to students from across the country studying mathematics, natural science or engineering.

Sarah Schlosser, ’17, is traveling to India to work with craftspeople in order to develop a better understanding and document traditional methods of natural dyeing textiles. This experience is a result of Sarah receiving a prestigious Fulbright Study/Research grant.
