Undergraduate Scholarship Application

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry has a number of scholarships and other awards available to incoming freshmen who have declared chemistry as their major.

Access the Undergraduate Scholarship Form for Incoming Freshman Majoring in Chemistry and Letter of Recommendation Form beginning October 1st, and be sure to have your materials in by the annual deadline of March 1st. 

Please note that the Scholarships and Awards Committee reviews the academic records of all current chemistry majors when considering the departmental awards for current students so there is no need to apply for these.  

The Scholarship Application Form will require a 500 word essay describing your career goals and why you would like to study chemistry, your employment/extracurricular activities/hobbies, GPA, ACT and/or SAT, and high school ranking percentile (if available), and information on mailing the official high school transcript.  The Letter of Recommendation should ideally be completed by a high school chemistry teacher or other science teacher.
