This Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement (CCLI) Phase 2 project will create, assess and disseminate interdisciplinary instructional materials that are designed for use in discipline-specific courses and help students to draw connections between disciplines. The initial target courses include chemistry, materials science and biology. The scope is molecular science, including both the study of how molecular structure and motion lead to emergent macroscopic properties, and the synthesis/engineering of structures with desirable properties. Dissemination to a broad audience will be through the NSDL, including specifically the Materials Digital Library Pathway (MatDL) and ChemCollective subcollections.
