International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Kent State University values the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) with its engaging and challenging curriculum that encourages critical thinking, intercultural understanding and respect. We welcome graduates of International Baccalaureate schools to continue their world-class education at Kent State. KSU will consider for credit, scores of 4 or higher on Higher Level International Baccalaureate examinations, and 5 or higher on Standard Level. The IB Academic Equivalency Cross Reference Chart (PDF) gives information about these scores and credit earned.

Kent State University must have an official copy of your IB transcripts before credit can be awarded. (Notation on a high school transcript will not suffice.) You may include KSU as one of your six selected institutions. We will access your transcript from the secure IB website. For more information regarding requests of IB transcripts, please visit the IB Answers page. Please contact us for questions regarding your IB credit at 330-672-8950 or use our online inquiry form.
