Kent State Student Media’s 'Food Flash' has found a new home for its creative culinary content at the DI Hub’s Innovation Teaching Kitchen. Through this partnership, Student Media’s food-focused YouTube series is utilizing the state-of-the-art kitchen to record segments that bring food culture to life in an exciting, interactive way.
A Hub for Food Exploration
'Food Flash' serves as Kent State’s go-to source for everything food-related. The series features a dynamic mix of cooking classic recipes, reviewing new products, taking on viral food challenges, and sharing thoughtful commentary. Additionally, 'Food Flash' highlights local businesses through interviews, offering a well-rounded exploration of food in and around Kent State.
By filming in the Innovation Teaching Kitchen, the 'Food Flash' team is taking advantage of a space that merges the creative and the culinary. This hands-on makerspace, itself a partnership between DI and KSU's Hospitality and Event Management Program, is now a key resource for student creators exploring the intersection of media, storytelling, and food.
