Kent State’s Wick Poetry Center to Benefit From Ford Foundation’s $200,000 Grant to Poetry Coalition
The Poetry Coalition, of which the Wick Poetry Center at Kent State University is a founding member, will benefit from a $200,000 grant from the Ford Foundation. To be given over two years, the grant, which will be administered by the Academy of American Poets, will enable the founding members of the coalition to produce national programs on themes of social importance that feature leading contemporary poets. It also will strengthen a network of poetry organizations by making possible two annual meetings of the founding members during the grant term.

Freshman Experience program in April. Online final grading for summer 1 2017 (S1) began Thursday, July 13, via FlashFAST. Grading also is now available for any summer 2017 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Tuesday, July 18. Any final grades for summer 2017 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These summer 2017 courses will be available in the Workflow on Thursday, July 20.

The Native American Heritage Month Planning Committee is welcoming university divisions, departments and student organizations to begin submitting their programming, activities and events to the University Events Calendar to be featured on the Native American Heritage Month Website.
